Practice yoga in Tuscany. Connect to nature and yourself. Refine your practice with daily movements, sequences and meditations. There will be two yoga sessions a day, including yoga, mindfulness and meditation. The mornings will begin with meditation and pranayama followed by a dynamic flowing and meditative seasonal hatha flow yoga practice. After morning yoga, there will be time to work in the studio, walk in nature and join another program. We will meet again in the late afternoon before dinner for a gentle practice dedicated to nourishing yourself, including restorative postures, meditation, visualizations and yoga nidra. We will also have workshop themes and insights on awakening our inner artist, finding our flow and delving deeper into ourselves to find out what works within our art practice and lives back home.

STUDIO LIFE AND HISTORY
Yoga was developed over 5,000 years ago in northern India. The word “yoga” derives from “yug” in Sanskrit meaning to yoke, or unite. Yoga is mental, physical and spiritual, connecting the mind and body. This course taps into your creative energy through yogic practice. Our instructors work to connect and communication the physical and emotional aspects of the individual.
Option 2: Chakra Yoga Led by Petra van Noort May 11- May 24, 2018 [7 or 14 days] *Note: Students fly into Rome May 11th for the two week course OR Florence May 18th for the one week course.
Immerse and emerge. Set aside this time to turn inward. As we journey via the 7 major chakra of the Ayurvedic system, utilizing a blend of hatha and vinyasa yoga practices, including postural, breath and meditation techniques- we expand our mind-body-spirit connection. We’ll incorporate the inspiring natural and cultural environment we find ourselves in, feeling our (inter)connectedness. Awareness, deepened experience and resilience emerge to support us in our art and life practices. There will be two yoga sessions a day: the mornings will begin with a more active practice and the late afternoons will be more contemplative and restorative.
